Inguinal hernia belt (model 113)

Description

Application:

The belt is designed to prevent the enlargement, prolapse, and strangulation of an inguinal hernia, as well as to prevent recurrence following surgery for strangulated inguinal hernias. In cases of small hernias, the hernia belt can help compensate for the hernia protrusion and improve quality of life. This device should be worn from the early stage of hernia development, when in men the defect enlarges only during physical activity or periods of increased intra-abdominal pressure.

Advantages:

The hernia belt is made of a breathable, moisture-permeable material containing cotton, preventing excessive sweating and allowing the skin to breathe. The belt is equipped with specially designed plastic applicators positioned over the hernia opening. These applicators help stabilize the hernia bulge and prevent its prolapse. The belt features a universal design suitable for both unilateral and bilateral inguinal hernias. When worn according to the recommended regimen and instructions, the belt helps prevent hernia progression by supporting the weakened abdominal area.

Instructions of use:

Consult a physician regarding the necessity of wearing the device and the required duration of use. Select the appropriate size according to the chart provided on the packaging. The belt may be worn directly on the skin, but it is recommended to wear it over underwear or clothing.

How to put on the inguinal hernia belt?

1. Place the wide belt on a flat surface and, lying on your back, position the front part of the belt over the hernia opening;
2. Fasten the belt around the hips using the Velcro closures;
3. Pass the hip straps between the legs and secure them at the back of the waistband using the Velcro closures;
4. Ensure the belt fits snugly against the body.

Care advice:

• The product should be washed manually, with the water temperature below +35 °C, using mild detergents.
• The product with “Velcro” snap shall be washed and dried in closed condition.
• When washing and rinsing, the belt must not be rubbed and wrung.
• Ironing of the belt is not recommended.
• The product shall be stored in clean and dry, well ventilated premises, where the air temperature ranges from +5 °C to 25 °C, and the air humidity is within 50%-70% range.
