Description
The elastic postoperative belt is designed to relieve tension on the sutures by supporting the anterior abdominal wall. It can also be used during the postpartum period to stabilize the anterior abdominal wall. The elastic postoperative belt should be applied while lying down before getting out of bed. The size of the medical belt should be chosen according to the indicators provided in the attached table.
Advantages:
The belt provides graduated pressure, adapting to the body’s shapes. This is achieved by incorporating fibers with different elasticity levels into the belt’s structure, dividing it into two longitudinal strips. The strip with lower elasticity is marked with a piece of white tape attached to the outside of the horizontally positioned cotton belt. This part of the belt should preferably be placed at the narrowest part of the waist. In contrast, the strip with higher elasticity can be used to adjust the belt to the contours of the pelvis or rib cage. The belt helps maintain proper posture, avoiding forced positions. Comfortable fixation with Velcro helps ensure the necessary tension of the belt.

Care advice:
The belt should be washed with soap in warm water, with a temperature not exceeding +35°C. When washing and rinsing, do not rub or wring out. Ironing is not recommended.
