About Lauma Medical
For over 45 years, Lauma Medical has been well known among both pharmacists and consumers in the Baltic States and Eastern Europe.
Assortment
Lauma Medical is a large manufacturer of medical products: woven and knitted elastic bandages with different elacticity, elastic back support belts, joint support bandages, braces, post correctors and compression stockings.
These products are known for their excellent quality. Only selected and certified materials, mainly organic cotton and wool, are allowed in the products by Lauma Medical.
Owing to the extensive experience in the field of production of medical products and to the compliance with the best practice recommendations and customer requirements, as well as through use technologies Lauma Medical products have become market leaders in the respective product group not only in the Baltic States, but also in many other countries.
Premium quality materials: cotton & wool
For the manufacture of products, only high-quality raw materials are used, mainly natural cotton and wool.
History
1965
The company AS Lauma was formerly well known as the largest textile producer in the Baltic states.
AS Lauma was established in 1965, and the production of elastic bandages and belts launched over 45 years ago still goes on in the same premises. These two pioneers are precursors of modern products and founders of the production branch. In the seventies, when Latvia was a part of SU, such products were developed centralized in leading medical institutes, and only after that they were moved into production. The manufacturing devices were also designed together with advanced equipment design engineers.
2005
Subsidiary company
SIA Lauma Fabrics, a subsidiary of AS Lauma, was established at the end of 2005, and medical products were presented under the trademark Lauma Medical.
2006
The concept and logo of the trademark
The concept and logo of the trademark Lauma Medical was developed in 2006, and the procedure of its registration in largest markets started. Lauma Medical began to sell their products in Kazakhstan, Moldova, Germany and other counties thus increasing sales turnover and promoting the products.
2016
Assortment expansion
In 2016, Lauma Medical is rebranded and widens its assortment by offering compression stockings: pantyhose, knee-length socks, stockings, sleeves, anti-embolism stockings. Compression stockings are available in various compression levels.
2019
Separate company
In 2019, Lauma Medical was officially separated from Lauma Fabrics and established as a separate company, becoming a subsidiary of Lauma Fabrics.
